Nature’s dawn palette
The last of the butternut and acorn squashes
I used some small tromboncinos and a butternut squash and white onions to make a soup this evening
Going home presents

Lunch guests
Laughs and food and fun
I’m teaching two of the young chicks to trust me and eat from my hand.
Pretty sky
All wrapped up in a blanket
As the sun sets I am thinking about a young woman
I was watching the news hour on Al Jazeera TV channel and read a caption which told me that a 26 year old Brazilian singer had died in an air crash alongside four other people. Her name is Marilia Mendonca. I looked her up on Wikipedia snd YouTube and I was entranced by her youth yet her maturity, the songs (in Portuguese) and the deep love and connection her audiences felt for her. I have been listening all afternoon as I gardened. Rest in Peace Marilia.
Anyone want to help with podding beans tonight?
