And ring their tails. If they look well in the morning then mum can leave the lambing pen and take the babies out to meet their relatives

Bulbs are popping up everywhere

Who will be next on this beautiful morning?

Although if it wasn’t so funny (big hand to Ian Blackford leader of the SNP) the scenes in the House of Commons might make me weep for our so called democracy
I told her about the lambs and we remembered her visits to The Gables when we would carry a lamb to her so that she could have a cuddle. When I got home I changed into my work clothes and then it was out to the sheep barn

While I was with mum Jeremy made up a bottle of colostrum to ensure that the lambs get the best possible start. Perky is “getting on” a bit and we may have to give the lambs some supplementary feeding if mother Perky doesn’t produce enough milk for two.

This morning I was surprised to find a wasp in the barn kitchen. They usually don’t appear until after April

The warm weather and sunshine had fooled the wasp into thinking that it was spring and not still winter. This evening the wasp was still crawling slowly along the kitchen floor. Click below
