And still waiting for lambs !

Still no lambs but ….

a Silkie hen has gone broody so we have given her 8 eggs to sit on and we might have some chicks in three weeks’ time. At this rate we will have chicks before lambs!!!

I went to the goat shed this morning. The routine is to take out the two yellow feed buckets and put them in the milking parlour to be filled and given out this evening. Then the next job is to put fresh hay in the feeders and then one of us takes Willow into the next door hut and milks her. Then all the goats are allowed out into the paddock until the evening
This morning I saw bright red stains on one of the yellow buckets

Tonight my brother (aka The Fabulous MickyC). Sent me this video link which went live tonight

Here is the link to donate to WarChild UK via the band’s donation page.

As I write this Russian troops are massing on the borders of Ukraine and the prospect of further conflicts loom large in Europe. As some of you may know we have strong links with a community in Lviv in Western Ukraine and I have a dear friend living and working in Kiev. May they stay safe and peace prevail.
the lambing pen but not for lambing. Bridge has been limping and we needed to trim and spray her feet.

We are keeping her in overnight and Surprise is keeping her company. The other sheep are paying visits

In the polytunnel Jeremy had a cuddle with one of the hens

And outside the evening sky was dotted with grey and pink clouds
