Best collecting box yet

On a wet day it’s good to browse in the St Neots Library. I find any excuse to go there and it’s my second visit this week. The first was to pick up a book I ordered

I remember the terror I felt in 1986 when the nuclear disaster occurred in a a nuclear power plant in a little known place called Chernobyl. Many wondered if food and water would be contaminated and there was advice to avoid salads and leafy vegetables ( even in UK) for fear of airborne nuclear contamination. It was and remains a terrifying disaster with continuing ecological and human consequences.

Be that as it may, the good old library provides me with new books and also an array of withdrawn stock that is hard to resist at such knockdown prices. As I paid for three books for grandson – £1 for all three- I spotted a collection box. I was looking for somewhere to place my pennies and lighten my purse.

Click below – I fell in love with the little fella
