Each springtime we see a pair of Mallard ducks on the pond and, if we are quiet and unobtrusive, we sometimes spy their ducklings when they hatch.  It is a wonderful sight and a great pleasure to know that the pond is used by wild water fowl as well as our plump, white geese.
