I noticed the mural as I was checking out my books at the self service point in the library today.  I don’t know why  I hadn’t seen it before but maybe it has only just been put on display.  The library is a well used local centre, where people pop in to sit and read the papers or make their way upstairs to use the computers.  The children’s section is excellent and there are always shelves of new books – which is where I go first.  Often there are trolleys with withdrawn books for sale and today I bought two gardening books for Jeremy at £1 each and four children’s books for a pound.  So much for trying to get rid of possessions but I simply can’t resist all these wonderful book bargains.
