Five tame Bantams who produce small cream coloured eggs.  One Silkie who gives a daily, tiny porcelain egg.  One Faverolle who lays from time to time.  One Light Sussex who occasionally lays a whopping, white egg.  Four Marans laying an assortment of coffee coloured and speckled eggs.  Four Maran Banties who lay beautiful, brown eggs.   I thank the chicks for their bounty each time I call in and collect their offerings and they thank me (silently) for the scattered corn, the fresh water and clean straw and poultry pellets.  Everyone is happy.
