Sometimes people say “it must be boring in the countryside”. Chance would be a fine thing. One could be busy every day …….and that is just with Tai Chi, Pilates, Yoga, Zumba, and walking groups just in this village and the next. I discovered Zumba Gold (yep, that’s Zumba for the over 50’s!) in Little Staughton last Tuesday and it’s great fun. The instructor dressed in Xmas gear this week and introduced a couple of seasonal songs. The village hall not only boasts a Christmas tree but also a permanent reminder of the Pathfinder Force that operated from the Little Staughton Airfield 1944-1945. It is sobering to read the information on the board and to note that two Victoria Crosses were awarded posthumously to pilots who flew from Little Staughton during that final crucial phase of the Second World War.
