We sped down to London this afternoon to celebrate mum in law’s 90th birthday with all her children and most of her grandchildren and three of her great grandchildren.  Mum in law is no longer vocal but she seemed to enjoy the attention and the sight of the little children brought a smile to her face.  When she was younger she would have told them not to play hide and seek in the heavy drapes so it was my turn to tell them to “be careful or the curtains will fall down!”
