The courgette plants, so prolific all summer, are losing their green colouring and yielding fewer and fewer delights. The cucumber plants have been pulled from the cold frames and in their place Jeremy has planted Tatsoi (a japanese winter hardy plant that can be used like lettuce) and pak choi. The leaves are beginning to drop from the trees and soon the garden tasks will include raking the leaves into piles and then throw them onto the leaf mold compost bin.
