I left the lambs to join the Wednesday walkers for a refreshing walk through the local fields.  Two of the group were discussing their Simnel cake making for Easter weekend.  A fruit cake with a layer of marzipan in the middle and one on top decorated with eleven balls of marzipan to represent the eleven apostles minus Judas.  I had never known about the symbolism of the cake before.

The additional of two new walkers, both born in Spain, has added a continental kissing component to our hellos and farewells!
