The calves are nearly as tall as their mothers and they are turning into strong

young bullocks.  It is time to grow up and be separated from their mothers but this is painful for all, including our neighbours, who had to listen to bellowing all night long.

I will give the mothers extra hay today to take their minds off their loss and both cows and calves will receive delicious runner bean plants that we pulled up yesterday.
