8 imperial pounds of ripe cherries came off the tree this morning ( the tree that I had covered with old net curtains sewn together).  From the other cherry tree (which hadn’t been protected) just 3 Cherries in total!  Birds like cherries! And tonight I will use the cherry pitter (photographed) to de-stone the fruit ready to freeze or bottle.
