This pretty purple cauliflower has been growing in the polytunnel and we had to decide whether to put it in a vase or cook it. We will eat it tonight with our vegetable curry, rice and a cucumber salad garnished with plump Welsh onions from the pots in the garden.

It tasted delicious. Just needed a minute in boiling water and really tasted like asparagus…..such tender stalks
