The thistles are out of the ground and drying besides the new raised bed and the prickles have lost their power to wound. Jeremy has tilled the earth and around the scarecrow is the one cabbage that survived the pigeons and rabbits. We will try again and perhaps mount a night time vigil.

But there are some thistles which we actually planted ourselves…..globe artichokes.


Looks like the onions, shallots and garlics are nearly ready to pull and plait and store.
