We might be covered in oil, our fingers are sore, our backs ache but hey we managed to get the heavy rotavator onto the tractor, clips and all. The PTA shaft fitting is a b….r but never mind we got it fixed on through sheer force of will, ours against the kabuto tractor. Those Japanese tractors must be made for people like me with small fingers who can attach the fiddly r clips to the bolts and for people, like Jeremy, who are determined to master the machine and will not give up. It doesn’t help that this is an old tractor so the joints are a bit rusty and out of alignment but so long as it works we’re not complaining.

I am pleased that I made a video of how to put on the mower and the tiller when the seller delivered the tractor to us in August. Without that advice captured on camera we might now be seeking a divorce or mediation! But as it is we feel quite pleased with ourselves and Jeremy is ploughing the earth in readiness for spring planting and we have filled the new raised bed with a layer of wood chippings, freshly sifted earth and some wood ash from the fires. We just need some compost for the top coat and then the lettuces can come out of the poly tunnel.

Time for a well deserved cup of tea.

Just reading about all this makes me want to go away and have a cup of tea! Phew!!
Tea? I should cocoa!
You know me so well!
