Monday morning at the Gables has already been busy.  Craig arrived with window frames for the garage and his mate Neil to help him fit them. Richard arrived to fit two bathroom blinds inside the house and then B and Q delivered some gravel boards ( for the raised beds) and the new petrol lawnmower.

Yes I know what you’re thinking (and so am I) that B and Q should offer a small consideration for all the free publicity!
So now that the wood is here Jeremy can make the raised seed bed near the house in which he will grow lots of lettuces and other salads.

Craig and Neil are now working on the garages.

But more exciting than all the building activity is the “duck news”. When we walked to the pond this morning a drake flew out and into the woods on the right. A second or two later the duck flew off in the opposite direction. We sprinkled crumbs of home made bread on the water near the duck house and just hope that they will return and take up permanent residence. Here’s hoping.
