A table for the poly tunnel
by gfreedman2013
J set up his workbench, saw and trestle table in the barn. He has been planning the poly tunnel tables for some time using the wooden struts left behind by the previous owner. He bought some metal brackets from our local DIY superstore and a box of brass wood screws.
He measured and cut the wood. He got me to hammer and prize out the old nails that were still in the struts and then he put the first table together.
Seed pots and trays will sit on the tables and, we hope, provide salad leaves and lettuces at unseasonal times of the year.
We will, apparently, be ready to start sowing the first seeds in the tunnel in December – just next month. How exciting!
