Extremely grumpy goats as we……

Trim their hooves. It had to be done or they will go lame.

Lay your goat down. I lie across each goat in turn and J trims the overgrown hooves

The girls made quite a palaver. Best was little Ruth and then Wisp. Meghan made a lot of noise and Willow won the prize for best actress!

All done for another couple of months. Nigel, of course, was an impartial observer and supervisor.

Short days, long nights, excellent dinner guests and day guests who amuse themselves

We had lively political debate over Friday night dinner

Then we went our separate ways today – all of us relaxing by sleeping, eating, reading, walking – us in the house, them in the barn. Meghan managed to get her horns stuck in some netting. The other goats are hornless and don’t have the same difficulties as Meg. I spied Ruth on the top of the climbing frame this morning. She got down safely
