This little robin appeared on the door of the quail barn. We have moved some of the chickens there to keep them warm.

The roses used to grow at The Gables many, many years ago when his grandmother and her family lived in the house. I believe that his grandmother was married from the house and then left to live on a nearby farm. It is quite poignant and fitting that a cutting of the original rose bush has “come home” and we will treasure and tend the bush and hope to see it flower. What a wonderful gift.
