The sheep are hungry, cold and pregnant.
It’s cold and damp and grey
The winter flowering heather brings a touch of colour to the overcast day and a rose survives, swaying in the frigid wind
And there are a few red berries on the bush out front. Fodder for the birds
Did the light ever get bright? Not that I noticed on my afternoon walk or just now at the end of a damp day.
Steam baths for some and cold dips for others
Alerted by a nearby friend to the waning gibbous moon tonight
A lick and a promise
Pregnant sheep get midday supplements of stock nuts.
Everyone turns up and wants more!
