It’s a cold night. Nigel and Mabel are snuggling up together
Two shakes of a lamb’s tail
Perky has taken her boy lamb out of the barn and into the field.
I suppose she knows what she’s doing but it feels so cold out there.
Monday 8th January. New day, new week, new life!
Why are two ewes (Spot and Perky) fighting ?
And then the sun was going down and peace settled over the field
As I work outside birds are a joyous distraction
And further away a green woodpecker perched on the fence, jumping down into the field to dig for ants
Ducks are a-dabbling up tails all
Streaks of light at dawn
Who’s in charge here and why can’t I sit in my chair?
Why have we got this outside the kitchen door?
A local friend read that goats like to eat them….
