Cuddles with sheep

Tufty guards the entrance to the barn
Yardie looking good and even rubbed noses with me. She’s the sheep who broke a leg hanging from a sheep feeder last year.

We thought Yardie was a boy but she is actually a girl. Maybe they are non-binary!!!

Buzzards along Mill Road

In recent weeks I’ve noticed several buzzards roosting in the trees. They usually fly off as I get close to them.

This morning, at Rhyme Time at St Neots library, I had 46 children in the group plus their parents, grandparents and carers. I have almost lost my voice and the librarians have become concerned about health and safety!

An emotional evening

I’m sitting in front of the television watching the release of three of the hostages taken by Hamas 471 days ago.

The photographs above are NOT from the television

They are being sent to me direct from Hostages Square by the mother of a family of three teenage girls who lived with us in November 2023 when they needed respite from days and nights in the bomb shelters. After three weeks at The Gables they returned to a war zone where they were able to face the continued bombardment from Iran and Gaza, the Houthi’s and Hizbollah. May all in the Middle East find a way to live together in peace.
