Monday morning and Mabel is fed up

With the heat

She can’t seem to find a place to rest comfortably
She’s just taken herself to a chair under the table in the shade of the spotted table cloth

It’s difficult for animals in the heat as it is for humans. The six goatlings have known no other weather. They’ll get a shock when (and if) the temperature ever drops below 25 degrees

The sun has sweetened the grapes that grow on the south facing wall of the stable block. They’re small but delicious. These were cut this morning but may have been eaten by lunchtime
