A potential risk but not illegal

On our Wednesday walk we used a footpath that we hadn’t trod for a couple of years. The field has been fenced and there are two strands of barbed wire at the top of the fencing. I haven’t seen barbed wire for many years. Nasty stuff. One of my sheep cut her nose on some back in Devon 46 years ago. The vet stitched her up and I cried!

  1. barbed wire is very useful to keep cattle inside a fence. No problem woth out if securely fixed and is tight. That field often has a big herd of Limousin cattle with calves and often a bull.
