
Pinky was probably 12 or possibly older. She had given birth to ma y lambs and she was “worn out” and was suffering with a dislocated hip. A sheep can’t stand with a dislocated back leg especially if she is old and weak. There was only one way to treat her and that was with a lethal, painless and very quick overdose of anaesthetic. I was allowed to hold her and stroke her as she slipped peacefully away
