I’m taking a chance

These cosmos seedling started life upstairs on a windowsill in a seed tray. They were then transplanted into individual pots which later moved to the unheated greenhouse. Today I put eight of them outdoors and sprinkled organic slug pellets around them. Will they survive? Here’s hoping.

  1. Better cover those cosmos seedlings tonight as temperature meant to drop to nearly freezing! Also please be careful with those slug pellets – they have killed lots of greedy dogs as they are so poisonous so certainly not organic!

What a chilly day – am heartily fed up with this ruddy wind. Only walkedZola round my home fields this evening after it dropped a bit so she missed out on her proper walk today. I was pruning the rest of the rose bushes this afternoon so got a bit chilled despite a coat, hat and gloves!
