The world suffers far too many wars – Ukraine, Yemen, Sudan, Syria and Israel/Gaza to name the main conflicts. This ignores the ongoing displacements and terror in DRC, Myanmar and the persecution of the Uighars and the forced expulsion of Afghans from Pakistan. I could go on. How lucky are we who have a roof over our heads, warmth and food and yes, dear Nigel, a cat to comfort us?
