I also was intrigued by that cloud which I thought was smoke from a fire over Bedford way. II made enquiries and apparently it is steam (Hope nothing worse) from the large new waste incinerator built in the Marston Vale south of Bedford. It has been operating for some time now but the weather conditions were right today so the emissions formEd this plume today.
