A visitor returning “sacks” used for children’s races at the village Jubilee Party and…….

Fascinating history from a woman who was not only born in the village and still lives in the village but can trace her family roots here back over 250 years.

Her mother was one of 21 children of whom 14 survived to adulthood

I hope to meet up with J again to find out more about the village and look forward to receiving old village photographs from her via WhatsApp.

I am pleased to report that the children enjoyed the sack races and there were no injuries!
