Morning briefing – from me and Nigel

Dotty was lying in the barn, unable to rise without help. I fed her some milk and she nibbled on some hay

Nigel accompanied me into the barn and supervised the feeding! How would I have managed without him?

I think I will call the vet again and ask for more advice about Dotty. In the chicken house a hen had managed to lay an egg from up on high – roosting

And the egg hadn’t broken. She obviously needed to lay that egg very early this morning before she could get into the nesting box.
The Bramley tree is in full, glorious blossom
