The grandchildren went home and it was then an afternoon of cooking and jam making

Garden tomatoes and onions made into pasta sauce
Garden tomatoes, onions and potatoes cooked into a tomato soup
Pasta sauce (2) and soup (1) after blending with a hand stick blender
Windfall apples chopped and baked into 2 apple cakes

The final picking of paddock plums prepared and made into 6 x 1lb jars of jam

Time to sit down and have a tot of whisky!
