Two gifts for mum and eventually a gap toothed smile

Mum loved the shawl that my friend sent for her.

And she also loved the soft toy dog that will now sit in her wheelchair with her. She and I have named it Sally

It was another glass panelled pod visit today. It started with mum visibly distressed but by the end she was reminiscing with me and smiling and even laughing. I think we will have to get used to mum without a full complement of teeth – but at least she has a fair number of her own left – which at nearly 94 isn’t too bad.

  1. Very cute! In your last post when you said there was a “gift” for your mum, I was wondering what it could be and we know now 😉 Such a cute and thoughtful present. A pretty shawl and an adorable new huggable. Sally looks cute sitting with your mum 🥰 Sending you all lots of love 🤍

  2. Poor love, poor both of you but you’re making the best, and that’s all we can do. Virtual hug to Sibyl and to you X
