Tonight and tomorrow marks the 7th yahrzeit for dad

Just three weeks after celebrating mum and dad’s 65th wedding anniversary, with a party at The Gables, dad made a swift and dignified exit from a life that he had lived to the full.

From an impoverished childhood in the East End of London
To life as an office boy – when part of his wages went to his mum and part on fashionable clothes
He was always stylish
He met mum when they were both 18 and he then worked by day and studied at night
He passed his matriculation and then went on to become an accountant
Mum and dad enjoyed themselves every day – working hard, financially supporting dad’s parents and raising a family
There was always time for sport – football, cricket, tennis, snooker and golf.
At their 50th wedding anniversary party at Avenue House
And at mum’s surprise 80th birthday party in Herziliyya

Dad appreciated where he came from, the woman he married, the life they made together and the children, grandchildren and great grandchildren that they raised – yes they even used to babysit for their oldest great grandchild. Dad taught us how to live life to the full. Thank you dad.

  1. Such a shame that Allan couldn’t do your wish for you it would have been an honour but it better that Mum is safe and not stressed out and will be with you in your heart and I’m sure you will see her in a few days Enjoy the family today Wishing you and your brother Long Life Lots of love Pam xxx
