We sold Lucy and her daughter Lily last summer. They were bought by a young couple in a nearby village and joined three other cows where they have been well cared for. Last week Lucy and Lily gave birth to calves and this afternoon we went to see them. Their owner and her aunt were standing by the barn. As we drove up Lucy and Lily started bellowing. We were assured that they only “kicked off” as we entered the yard. Truly.
