Best anniversary present

After an early dash to Tesco (how can we possibly need all this shopping?) it was on to Borehamwood and a “masked up” walk with the oldest grandson. No cuddling or kissing or hugging but at least I saw him for a few previous minutes. Then I picked up some Poundland toys and met up with the other grandchildren outside mum’s care home window

There was great excitement at the home. The first batch of vaccines arrived there late last night and this morning mum, and her pals, got their first shots.

The staff will get their shots today after the residents. Everyone was smiling and I confess that as I walked back to my car I shed a tear.

Back home I was pleased to see the new bird box in place on the annex wall.

Come on in birds – there’s a nice new nesting box up for grabs

  1. Happy Anniversary to two lovely people.

That is such good news about the vaccines. Will make everyone feel a lot safer.

Shortly starting a surprise Zoom birthday meeting for Hannah and the family. T’will be absolute chaos but Hannah will be very pleased, and the girls will be thrilled as secret plottings have been going on for days!!

  2. Didn’t realize it’s your Anniversary today. Wishing you many more happy years together. Great that your Mum has had the vaccine. Maybe in the not too distant future you’ll be able to hug her again. Lots of love xx
