We were locking up the birds this evening when Jeremy noticed that a Silkie hen had gone awol. We searched the undergrowth in the run and found the hen (well hidden) on 16(!) eggs

We have now moved hen and eggs to the safety of a closed run and house near the kitchen. If she decides to sit on the eggs after the trauma of the move we might have more chicks 21 days hence
