Dear Lemon (one of our oldest and most intelligent Bantam hens) has been sitting on seven eggs. They began to pip (first crack forming) last night at locking up time. this morning five have hatched – so far. Well done dear Lemon.

Meghan is growing fast and to mark her maturity I ordered her a grown up collar to match those of her mother and aunt.
