Last summer Jeremy took some cuttings of this Blue Passion flower vine from a prolific specimen in a London garden. The cuttings overwintered in the poly tunnel and were planted in tubs this year. Now they have been placed in the courtyard where they are doing brilliantly and flowering. Dr Google suggests, on several sites, that the plant flowers from July to September but it’s only May! Global warming?

Combination of global warming and a wonderfully warm sheltered courtyard! Had them in our sheltered garden in Bedford for a couple of years. Seem to remember the fruit/seedpod is edible but don’t try without checking!
No point me trying them here on Windy Heights! My washing dried in record time however.
Have you seen the happy trio today? Not been up myself but can go up if you haven’t managed a visit.
Managed a quick trip to do food shopping in a lovely quiet newbie Lidl so am well supplied, and I got the picnic wherewithal for our distant picnic at Hannah’s tomorrow. I want to see them three girlies, and all their woolly/fluffy babies!
