I am fed up with cleaning mud from Wellington boots. I know it’s muddy out there

In places it’s almost knee deep in mud. I ask my guests to “please bring wellie boots when you come to visit.” Person after person arrives wearing “old trainers” or “old boots and shoes”. Wrong. You will sink into the mud and ruin your footwear and your clothes. So – I lend them boots in all shapes and sizes and they leave me with rows of boots to dry. Boots from which the mud must be removed and the floor then swept and mopped.

All are welcome here but, please, if I ask you to bring Wellington boots, understand that it is REALLY muddy here – until further notice💕
