Today dad would have been 92 (he died 5 and a half years ago aged 86).

I began this blog on dad’s birthday, November 13th 2013 and dad used to receive all the posts on his computer. He wasn’t an animal lover and he had a highly sensitive sense of smell – he would have thought that Willow and Wisp looked pretty from afar but he wouldn’t have liked their distinctive “goat” smell! He didn’t really understand why J and I wanted to live in the countryside- he was a city dweller all his life and loved theatre, film, music, and his golf, tennis, snooker and bridge. One family, different lifestyles. Happy Birthday and I hope you still can read the blogs wherever you are. Please look out for us all.

“Goat update”……We let the girls out for a few minutes to explore the paddock.

We enticed them back with their delicious concentrates. Slowly, slowly girls.

The sheep and cows formed a delegation at the paddock gate. They want to know who has joined the clan.
