Definitely not a pine marten! Was a stoat! Sad about your missing poultry, but tough cat? to kill the stoat.

As Kate says, it’s definitely not a stone martin. Most likely a stoat, but the best way to tell the difference is by looking at the tail. Sadly the end of the tail is missing in this photo. The stoat has a black tip to the tail and the weasel’s tail is stubbier.
