Down the A1 and up the M1 all before lunchtime

I drove down to London to collect mum this morning then it was up the M1 to Bushey cemetery for the tombstone consecration of the dearly loved father of a dear old friend. A huge crowd of all ages was there to honour an honourable and charitable man. A moving presence was the contingency from AJEX ( the association of jewish ex servicemen) many of them in their nineties but still proudly wearing berets, medals and carrying their standards.

A fitting tribute to an old fashioned gentleman.

Then it was back into the car and onto the motorway, arriving at Tge Gables to see son and grandchildren. Mum, granddaughter and Grandpa are now in the barn working on a puzzle.
