The fire brigade are still working here although the fire seems to be out – for the time being. Friends and neighbours rushed over to see if we and the livestock were ok and offered to move any chickens to their places. For the time being we are safe but we sent our lunch visitors away in haste after a lovely reunion. We didn’t want anyone getting trapped. Kate’s daughter, Hannah came over to see if she could help us. As a thank you I gave her some jam tarts and a couple of cucumber to take back over the road.
