Well done! I haven’t done squares for ages but I think you just have to make sure that at every corner you do your 2 double crochets or whatever they are, chain then another 2 in the same hole, before you go down the sides and just do 2 in each hole….
May be clear as mud so may be better to talk when you’re ready!
