The rich, brown earth

Tilled with the tractor and ready for planting  in the spring.


Plenty of roots and leafy vegetables still in the ground over the winter………..red beetroots and white beetroots, parsnips and carrots, rainbow chard and kale.  Bags of potatoes in the porch, strings of onions and garlic in the barn and jars of dried beans for stews and soups.  No need to go hungry.
