All guests gone, the barn swept and tidy, tables folded away and the room ready for Tai Chi class in the morning.

We sat outside on the rocking chairs, sipping tea and coffee and listening to the sound of peace and quiet. The distant clop of horses hooves on Mill Road, a solitary drill in the hands of a neighbour and the cawing of crows.  Then, suddenly, the sun went behind the clouds and the raindrops fell until, an hour later, out came the evening sunshine and a rainbow appeared in the sky.
