All night long I heard the plaintive mooing of Beattie looking for Bella. Although she is calling less today she is wandering around the field searching every corner and occasionally bellowing. Poor mother. We all have to accept that our children will grow up and move away.

And Bella has been calling for her mum as well. Although I could not hear Beattie from the calf’s field, they can probably hear other as their hearing a lot more acute than a human’s is. However, Bella is fine and grazing both to her two new friends. All will quieten down in next 24 hours.
