Jeremy, Phil and I borrowed Kate’s mobile fencing to catch the lambs and separate them from Tufty and the ewes. Five lambs allowed themselves to be caught very easily but the other four were playing “hard to get”. Five down and four to go and daughter, son in law and grandson arrived en route to Liverpool for a friend’s wedding. We were trying to catch sheep and they were calling out. “The cows are in the garden!” WHAT! Cows in the garden. Never mind the sheep, we all ran to the garden, buckets of cow food in hand and chased those naughty cattle out of the asparagus bed.

Not too much damage done and much laughter amongst daughter and her family. Then it was back to sheep catching.

And at last the lambs were in the barn and the ewes were outside in the field. Time for tea and a treat. Now we will wait for the two farmers to arrive and load up the lambs.

That made us laugh!
