Although the lambs in the paddock have the benefit of a barn and plenty of trees for shelter and although they have a trough of water a bucket of water and a bowl, poor little Tiny Tim succumbed to the heat today. He had been scouring for a couple of weeks but other than that he seemed healthy but pint sized. This afternoon, when I was collecting hens eggs ( only five instead of the usual ten, which I also attribute to the heat) I looked over towards the lamb paddock and saw an immobile white form lying next to the fence. When I went over to see what had happened I realised that Tiny was lying on his side, eyes open and not breathing. Poor thing. Rest in peace little fella.

Shame….

Yes, how very sad. Sue X
Gill, your animals have taken over my life and when one dies I feel it deeply. Poor Tiny Tim. I still remember the loss of the baby duck in Devon when Jeremy tried to re-assure me that ducks do turn on their young and trample them. And Seth saying ‘Dead Duck…’ didn’t help!
O no I always liked the stories of Tiny Tim!

Bless him! Sorry for your loss. We are struggling with the heat here too. Poor Sydney has injured his foot so is feeling very miserable ☹
